Hamilton Hall, an original McKim, Mead & White building, is home to Columbia College, one of the most prestigious undergraduate institutions in the world. Last year, approximately 11 percent of first-year applicants were admitted. Columbia College, which prizes its renowned Core Curriculum, offers programs of study leading to the B.A. in 61 subjects and has 5 dual degree programs and a joint degree program with the Juilliard School of Music. The College Dean's office and the Undergraduate Admissions Office for Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science are located here.
