| Course Description | A survey of Alexander Pushkin's poetry and prose in the original. Emphasis on the emergence of a new figure of the poet in Russia in the 1820s - 1830s. Linguistic analysis of poetic texts (vocabulary, metrics, versification) will be combined with the study of Russian history and culture as reelected in Pushkin's writing. |
