Course Description

One-on-one narrative editing sessions with writer/directors working on the culmination of their MFA — Second Year films and thesis-level projects. In addition, students with a finished script about to go into production can set up meetings to discuss shooting plans and editorial concerns.

Each student selected for this opportunity will be scheduled for three 60-minute sessions with Elizabeth in her office at Dodge. Meetings will begin the week of February 9th until the week of May 4th. Priority will go to thesis-level projects, then Second Year Films (SYF).

As room schedule allows, before locking picture we screen the Thesis films in 511 or a classroom on the 5th floor with invited peers. Before CUFF, we strategize about next steps, discuss applying to Labs, Internships, Festivals and meeting people in the industry as they begin building their own networks.
