Site content
Schools, departments, programs, and other groups at Columbia are generally responsible for maintaining their own Web sites. If you have a question or comment about a site's content, please contact the site's administrator or the office of the school or group.
Broken link or site not found
While we make an effort to keep links up-to-date, they may change without our knowledge—or be temporarily offline. If you encounter a problem linking to a page, please email webmaster@columbia.edu.

Incorporating the Columbia.edu
design
While it is not necessary for the managers of
these sites to adopt the new design, we encourage
anyone who is interested in doing so to explore
the Columbia.edu
Style Guides and Columbia University Web Site Principles and Guidelines (PDF) and to contact webmaster@columbia.edu for assistance.
Note to Columbia Web Managers: If you choose to include an email link to "webmaster" on your site, it should be a link to your email address (or another email address specific to your organization), and NOT to webmaster@columbia.edu.

Lost UNI (University Network ID) or password
Every Columbia University student, faculty member, and permanent staff member has a unique identifier consisting of their initials plus an arbitrary number. Please visit uni.columbia.edu where you can lookup your UNI, activate your UNI, or get information on how to have your password reset if necessary. If you are still having trouble, contact the CUIT Helpdesk Support Center.
Digital certificates
A digital certificate is a form of electronic identification for computer services, such as Web servers or email servers. Installing digital certificates on your computer will allow you to set up trusted connections with the network services you want to use.
Many ColumbiaWeb services are restricted for a
variety of reasons, including licensing and privacy
issues. For access to many of these services you
must use Netscape 3.0 or later, log in with your
CUNIX ID and password, pass through a variety
of security screens, and finally log out when
finished. Please note that other security measures
may be in place that require a different procedure.
The Columbia University Certificate Authority ("CA") enables access to secure Columbia services for several years. Certificates for particular Columbia Web servers, e.g., "www1," expire annually each July 1. Download digital certificates.
